We’ve reached out Goal!
We are proud to announce that our community share offer has been offered £25,000 in equity match investment from Co-operatives UK’s Community Shares Booster Fund. This means that for every pound the community invests up to £25,000, we’ll have another pound in investment from the fund.
The Booster Fund’s buy-in and confidence in our share offer also demonstrates we are a credible community venture that is worth investing in.
With this news we are excited to announce that we have surpassed our goal and have unlocked the £404,000 Arts Council Grant and our community share offer will be going ahead! Our Community Share Offer is still open for investment until Thursday 31st October and any funds raised above £50,000 will go towards Phase 2 of our ambitious project plans.
We would like to thank everyone who has purchased a share or a raffle ticket for investing in The Forum and we are looking forward to starting work on The Forum and having our new shareholders be a part of the future of The Forum.
Currently (as of writing this post) we have managed to raise a whopping £65,665!
Which breakdown as follows:
– Community Shares: £39,385
– Raffle Tickets: £1,280
– Booster Fund: £25,000
Can I still buy a share? – Absolutely, our share offer is still open until Thursday 31st October 2024! We’d love to have as many people become shareholders and be a part of the future of The Forum, shares are available from our dedicated Community Shares Page
What will the extra money be used for? – Anything raised above the £50,000 will be put towards our Phase 2 development which includes the new ‘shop style’ front entrance and the new toilets.
What happens after Thursday 31st October 2024? – We will be able to draw down the money raised from the Community Shares as well as the Arts Council Grant and start getting on with the major capital investment plan. We’ll contact everyone who has purchased shares and give them a timeframe from when share certificates will be send out and details about how certain perks can be accessed. We’ll draw the raffle then in the near future we will set a date for the first AGM.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone who has purchased a share or a raffle ticket for investing in The Forum and we are looking forward to starting work on The Forum and having our new shareholders be a part of the future of The Forum.
