
The Specialized Project CIC now in it’s 15th year is a UK-based social enterprise and record label that uses the global Ska and Reggae scene to raise funds for major charities, most notably the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Founded in 2011 by Paul Williams, the project was inspired by a performance by The Specials at the Royal Albert Hall and since then, it has grown into a massive international community of musicians, artists, and fans who contribute to charity through music to help not only children dealing with cancer, but also people suffering with various health problems , and have even taken their charity work as far as Uganda where they sponsor an orphanage.
 North By NorthEast 3 is an events solely for the North East and brings the crème de la crème of UK Ska and Reggae to Darlington.
Featuring – London’s UK Reggae legend King Hammond – Darlo’s very own The Skapones, – Hebden Bridge’s ska legends the Owter Zeds celebrating their 40th anniversary – 90s Ska stars from Kings Lynn, Rebelation bringing Rocksteady to the stage – Hot Squiah from Leeds, new on the circuit bringing their unique fun brand of Ska Punk, with more acts to be announced this event is an all day ska & reggae bonanza !
