Live and Local is a monthly gig night showcasing and celebrating North East artists and bands.
Hadrian’s Union: Hadrian’s Union are a UK based indie alt rock band from Newcastle and Cumbria. Their music is influenced by many different genres including ska, rock, indie, folk, punk and blues. Lyrically the songs explore varied themes, some are deep and meaningful, where as others can just be silly, provocative and fun. Sonically you can hear the inter generational influences of the varied ages of the players coming together as one in every show and recording.
Dinky Bossetti: 3-piece (mostly) trans DIY Riot Grrrl punk band from Newcastle. With influences from bands like Babes In Toyland, Hole, Bikini Kill & The Distillers. They released their debut EP Trans Sister Radio in December 2023. They have recently released their latest E.P entitled ‘Pink, White & Blue’ – on Friday 31st January 2025. They have played supporting slots for bands like Skating Polly & Death Valley Girls at The Cluny & Mouses at their album launch in Middlesbrough. With positive words in local publications such as NE Volume, NARC and The Crack. “We sing mostly about rubbish men & politicians & the experiences of being LGBTQIA+ today”
