Come down for a night of live music, with all proceeds going to the charity ‘ The Listening Post’. Featuring three upcoming North East bands.
Precinct: Precinct are a young, exciting, local 5-piece band who play energetic covers from an eclectic mix of artists. They also have a few originals with more in the works as they hone their craft. Members include: Emily Kelly on vocals, Ben Skelton on Guitar, Will Taylor on Keyboard, David Ridley on Bass, and Noah Stand on Drums.
No Ripcord: Based in Darlington, UK, is an alt. rock 4-piece that was formed in 2023, releasing their debut single “” in May 2024. Their music can be described as a mishmash of garage rock, grunge and alternative metal, with a heavy hint of ‘s early rock days thrown in there too. The band’s music is mainly written by frontman Peter Winder, with lead guitar added by Sam Thomas, frenzied drums by Harry O’Brien and growling basslines by Caiden Daiper – all coming together to make a sound like none other.
The Hyperbolics: Formed in 2023, The Hyperbolics are an Alternative Rock 5-piece band based in Stockton. Performing a mixture of indie/rock covers and original songs, this band brings a considerable amount of energy to every act and regularly seems to usher in a crowd.”
A little information about the charity:
The Listening Post is a mentoring and listening service for children and young people who live or study in Darlington. The listening sessions give students an outlet for their emotions whilst facilitating a safe space for them to process situations, and issues that may be causing upset and anxiety. Last academic year over 2289 listening sessions supported 241students. 36 students benefited from long-term support of at least 20 sessions.
