SUMMARY:Smoove & Turrell
DESCRIPTION:The story of Smoove & Turrell began in the post millennium North East of England with a group of working class lads and a shared passion for soul.\nTheir first track was the now classic ‘I Can’t Give You Up’ recorded at Mike Porter’s house as his Hammond Organ was immovably wedged in his utility room! If you listen closely to the (now extremely expensive) original 7 inch recording released on the German label Club Tikka you can still hear Mike’s mum retrieving a pack of peas from the freezer… The track was so popular in the underground Mod and Northern soul scene all initial 500 pressings of the record sold out\, resulting in online bidding wars\, with the record going for as much as £160. \nIt was in fellow soul head Craig Charles that they found their first radio champion as he supported them heavily on ‘The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show’ which was a kick-starter for their assault on national radio eventually landing Radio 2 record of the week twice and a playlist on 6 Music. \nBy the time their second album – Eccentric Audio was released the band had already been touring far and wide building up a loyal fan base helped by continued support from radio which culminated in two playlists and a New Year’s Eve live session on Radio 2. With two critically acclaimed albums under their belts and word starting to spread across the pond to America – S&T tracks were used on TV shows\, feature films and an ABC network primetime ad campaign\, as well as in video games such as The Crew. \n2019 then saw the band celebrating 10 years in the business with the release of “Solid Brass – 10 Years of Northern Funk” a retrospective of the biggest tracks from their blistering live shows with the added bonus of two new tracks – “I’m A Man” and “Give It Back”. A sell out Solid Brass tour saw them delivering a set of strictly the hits to rapturous reception. The band returned in 2020 with “Stratos Bleu” their 6th studio album and one that continued to pair Turrell’s conscious lyricism with Smoove’s impeccable production. Keyboard player Mike Porter’s collection of analogue synths comes to the fore on the new album with a nod to the heady days of early 90’s clubbing which may be a surprise to some but in the context of this band as dance floor favourites makes perfect sense. \n‘Red Ellen’ was released in 2023\, not quite as electronic an odyssey as Stratos Bleu\, but still firmly centred on the dance floor and with an overwhelmingly optimistic message of love and compassion\, the album is tempered as always with the gritty reality of working class life in the North East of England. \nWith support from DJ’s\, Tosh & Dave.  \n\n\nTickets £22.00 adv\nDoors From: 7.30PM\nShow Starts: 8.00PM (Approximately)\n16+ (Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult)\nStanding Event\nBefore attending please read our Covid-19 Disclaimer and check out our Venue Info Page\n\n\nHow To Buy Your Ticket \n\nBuy Online\, using the box below\nVisit The Forum Reception \nCall us on: 01325 363135\nPlease note our reception and phone line are not always manned especially at busy events\, please see our Opening Hours & Venue Info for more info.\n\nA non-refundable 50p booking fee is added to each ticket when buying online. LVS toured “Signals Under Pressure” and were invited to play at Rushest in Scotland\, with original Rush producer Terry Brown in the audience. \nIn 2017 the tour was a tribute to “2112” and at Rush EuCon they played with Terry Brown once again. 2018 was the “Stranger Spheres” (Hemispheres) tour and 2019 was “A Show Of Hands”. SUMMARY:Andrew Johnson (Full band) + Anna Karila & Izzy Neish
DESCRIPTION:Stockton based music artist Andrew Johnson has put together his first ever full band shows of original solo songs.  \nHardly a slacker in the output department he has written\, recorded and released over 20 albums under his own name since 2003 (40+ if you include other guises). \nDrawing on a wide range of influences Andrew will be focussing\, at these shows at least\, on the “greatest hits that never were” plus big tunes from last year’s acclaimed Exercise In Style album and a little taste of what’s next too. \n“I’ve amassed a killer set of songs along the way and thought it was time to give them an airing in their fullest glory. I’m writing my best stuff right now too so it’s a chance to present that with a big sound” \nHaving carved out a solid reputation as an energetic\, soulful and captivating frontman in The Southmartins the crowd can expect more of the same here too. For fans of The Beatles\, Elliot Smith\, Squeeze and  other melodic indie-rock these are unmissable shows and\, who knows\, perhaps the only chance to hear these songs at full force. \n\n\nTickets £7.00 adv// £10.00 otd  \nDoors From: 6:30PM\nShow Starts: 7:00PM (Approximately)\nUnder 16’s must be accompanied by an adult\nUnreserved Seating\nBefore attending please read our Covid-19 Disclaimer and check out our Venue Info Page\n\n\nHow To Buy Your Ticket\n\nBuy Online\, using the box below\nVisit The Forum Reception \nCall us on: 01325 363135\nPlease note our reception and phone line are not always manned especially at busy events\, please see our Opening Hours & Venue Info for more info.\n\nA non-refundable 50p booking fee is added to each ticket when buying online. SUMMARY:RnB: Jon Amor Trio
DESCRIPTION:Jon Amor is the kind of artist who thrives on live music\, he first appeared in 1999 as the guitarist of The Hoax\, immediately leaving his calling card. Both sides wanted more\, and over the years he returned with various line-ups. Now he performs as a trio with Jerry Soffe on bass and Tom Gilkes on drums. \nThe towering Brit is hard to pin down musically. He is a distinctive songwriter who aims to surprise with his music\, whether rock\, pop\, funk\, or blues. With his current band\, he returns to his blues-rock roots. Sometimes it’s raw and powerful\, other times brooding and menacing\, or even danceable and funky. But there is always room for improvisation and his signature solos\, making every performance from this power trio a unique experience. \n\n\nTickets £15\nDoors From: 7.30PM\nShow Starts: 8.30PM (Approximately)\n16+ (Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult)\nUnreserved Seated Event\nBefore attending please read our Covid-19 Disclaimer and check out our Venue Info Page\n\n\nHow To Buy Your Ticket \n\nBuy Online\, using the box below\nVisit The Forum Reception \nCall us on: 01325 363135\nPlease note our reception and phone line are not always manned especially at busy events\, please see our Opening Hours & Venue Info for more info.\n\nA non-refundable 50p booking fee is added to each ticket when buying online\nOn the door ticket sales are subject to availability and not guaranteed

SUMMARY:The Fire Doors (Tribute to The Doors)
DESCRIPTION:The Fire Doors faithfully bring to life the music of Jim Morrison\, Robby Krieger\, Ray Manzarek and John Densmore; a celebration of The Doors’ six classic albums\, from the brooding psychedelia of the self-titled debut to the bluesy howl of L.A. Woman. The Fire Doors embrace every aspect of this uniquely fascinating band – poetry\, mysticism\, flamenco and jazz all wrapped up as hard-hitting rock\, but with the pop smarts that led to chart-topping singles such as Light My Fire\, Hello\, I Love You and Touch Me. \nThe Fire Doors sees four mainstays of the North East’s music scene (Peter Brewis\, David Brewis and Andrew Moore of Field Music and David Hyde from The Futureheads) coming together to share their first musical love. Their mission now is to help keep the music of The Doors alive. \nThe band are a genuine force and pull the Doors’ hits off with clout and conviction. The result achieves that magic combination of being so tight they almost sound loose.” Daniel Dylan Wray\, The Guardian \n“They’re called Fire Doors. If you see footage of them\, they’re incredible. SUMMARY:High Fade | Funk/Rock Trio
DESCRIPTION:Funk/Rock trio High Fade –consisting of founder Harry Valentino (Guitar\, Vocals)\, Oliver Sentence (Bass\, Mustache) and drummer Heath Campbell (Drums) has grown from Scotland’s most excited busking band into a household name across the world after bursting onto the scene with viral sensations such as “Burnt Toast & Coffee”\, “Gossip”\, “Burnin’”\, and an audacious cover of Herbie Hancock’s “Chameleon”. Sold out tours across the UK\, USA\, and Europe have seen the band get well over 1\,500 shows under their belt\, allowing High Fade to fast become one of the most ferocious touring bands on the planet. \nDelivering shows that are packed with raw energy and jaw-dropping musicianship\, they refuse to accept the limits of what a three-piece band can do.With sold out tours across the UK\, USA\, and Europe; and impactful slots at dozens of festivals like Boomtown (UK)\, Suwannee Hulaween (USA) and Glastonbury –where they performed three times in one day in 2024 –High Fade have come a long way from that street corner in Edinburgh. Drawing inspiration from funk\, rock\, disco\, jazz\, metal\, punk\, soul\, and beyond\, High Fade has developed a sound that explodes out of a rip-roaring melting point of musical influences and tears at the fabric of space time by managing to feel simultaneously fresh and retro. \nFirecly independent\, the band releases music via their own label RPN Records (“Rippin’ Records”)\, including their debut album\, Life’s Too Fast (2024)\, which charted in the UK\, Ireland\, Germany\, the Netherlands\, USA\, and Australia. Not bad for an independent DIY band operating entirely outside of the Major Label system. High Fade’s sophomore LP\, Twice As Nice\, due for release on RPN Records May 2026\, was recorded at two of the world’s most renowned studios\, East Iris Studios in Nashville and RAK Studios in London. The hotly anticipated new album arrives just in time for the band’s massive 50-date Twice As Nicetour that will bring the band to all corners of the USA and Canada this Spring and Summer. \nPlus support TBC  \nHighFademusic.live\nListen On Spotify \n\n\nTickets £22.00\nDoors From: 7:30PM\nShow Starts: 8:00PM (Approximately)\nStrictly 16+\n(Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult\, you may be denied entry if not)\nStanding Event\nBefore attending please read our Covid-19 Disclaimer and check out our Venue Info Page\n\n\nHow To Buy Your Ticket\n\nBuy Online\, using the box below\nVisit The Forum Reception \nCall us on: 01325 363135\nPlease note our reception and phone line are not always manned especially at busy events\, please see our Opening Hours & Venue Info for more info.\n\nA non-refundable 50p booking fee is added to each ticket when buying online. On the door ticket sales are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

SUMMARY:Amphitrio (Contemporary Jazz Trio)
DESCRIPTION:Amphitrio is a contemporary jazz trio from Bucharest\, Romania\, formed in 2023 by pianist and composer Andrei Petrache\, bassist Mike Alex\, and percussionist Philip Goron – three musicians whose artistic paths merge classical precision\, modern jazz sensibility\, and alternative experimentation. The project’s essence lies in friendship\, improvisation\, and a shared search for freedom in sound. Each member brings a distinct creative language shaped by years of performing across genres—from classical and orchestral contexts to experimental jazz\, world music\, and electronic fusion. \nWith three albums\, international touring\, and multiple cross-genre collaborations\, Amphitrio stands as one of the most distinctive voices in Eastern European jazz\, a trio that bridges geography\, culture\, and emotion. Their music speaks in textures rather than formulas\, constantly seeking new ways to translate time\, memory\, and place into sound. With three albums\, international touring\, and multiple cross-genre collaborations\, Amphitrio stands as one of the most distinctive voices in Eastern European jazz\, a trio that bridges geography\, culture\, and emotion. SUMMARY:The Hanging Stars w/ Sunstack Jones
DESCRIPTION:London’s The Hanging Stars return with their sixth album\, Just A Day – a dazzling collection of four-part harmonies\, shimmering twelve-string guitars and chiming songs\, touching on themes of longing\, new beginnings and the fragility of the everyday. Recorded at Edwyn Collin’s legendary Clashnarrow Studios in the Scottish Highlands\, the album marks a bold new chapter for the band\, produced with the invaluable guidance of Teenage Fanclub’s Gerard Love.  \nJust A Day is The Hanging Stars’ third album to be recorded at Clashnarrow Studios\, Helmsdale located in the most idyllic setting imaginable\, thirty minutes south of John O’Groats and overlooking the Moray Firth. The studio\, owned and run by Edwyn Collins and Grace Maxwell\, is a place the band describe with reverence: “a sort of mixture between Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and the BBC’s Repair Shop”.  \nTheir sound evokes classic sounds from the past with an ear towards the future\, from The Byrds via Big Star\, to The Feelies\, Spiritualized\, Teenage Fanclub and Tom Petty. Or think Lou Reed and the Velvets jamming with Gorkys Zygotic Mynci. The result is an album that feels simultaneously classic and vibrant\, their influences worn lightly giving the songs room to breathe. \nSunstack Jones:Liverpool-based collective Sunstack Jones are something of a pre-emptive strike on the inevitably dull British summer\, bringing forth songs that stand out like slants of light in a dusty old room. Their aim is to make immersive music\, transporting you to a lethargic euphoria with billowing soundscapes to soothe the soul. \nThe band’s soul-psyche dream-pop sound caught the attention of Nick McCabe\, the lead guitarist of The Verve. He’s mastered their third album\, and brought a 3D quality\, sprinkling it with some extra magic. Delicious shuffling sun-drenched folk\, framed in rich\, warm and Laurel Canyon harmonies\, and layers of slide guitar floating through its picture perfect pastoral scene. \n\n\nTickets £10.oo\nDoors From: 7.00PM\nShow Starts: 7:45PM (Approximately)\n16+ (Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult)\nStanding Event\nBefore attending please read our Covid-19 Disclaimer and check out our Venue Info Page\n\n\nHow To Buy Your Ticket\n\nBuy Online\, using the box below\nVisit The Forum Reception \nCall us on: 01325 363135\nPlease note our reception and phone line are not always manned especially at busy events\, please see our Opening Hours & Venue Info for more info.\n\nA non-refundable 50p booking fee is added to each ticket when buying online. On the door ticket sales are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
