Independent Venue Week at The Forum

Independent Venue Week has started and we’re fully taking part with 4 events happening this week under the banner of Independent Venue Week.

On Monday 28th January Darlington Film Club is screening U2: Rattle and Hum. A documentary following Irish Rock Band U2’s 1987 North American tour. Fresh with their success of their best selling album, The Joshua Tree, the band plays monster gigs. Along the way, the band takes the opportunity in indulge in some special musical activities like playing with BB King and performing “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking” with a famous church choir. All the while, concert footage of the band’s biggest hits on tour is featured while Bono speaks his mind on the problems of his homeland.

 

On Thursday 31st January Live & Local at The Forum sees 3 local bands performing their own original material including

– Borderline ( Synth Rock)
– Astoma ( Alternative Rock)
– There There ( Synth Pop)

 

On Friday 1st February we have The Northern League Live
A night of live Hip Hop & Alternative artists from the North hosted and Headlined by Endem with Special Guests Shakk, Rex Regis Reali-T, Lxngcat, Freddy and Chris Davison-Musician.

Endem is a Darlington based rapper signed to Legitimate Anarchy Records that focuses on the genres of Rap/Hip Hop/Trap.

 

On Saturday 2nd February Hilarity Bites Comedy Club is at The Forum for a night of stand up comedy with Rob Rouse, Katie Mulgrew & Barry Dodds.

 

 

 

At each event we will be giving away special Independent Venue Week goodies and we have also got some special beer available for the occasion! Marshall have made their very own craft beer!
